This year our National Docman Conferences were held in May at Manchester City Football Club, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Chelsea Football Club, London.

The conferences were attended by hundreds of customers from Primary Care, Secondary Care, CCG’s and CSU’s to hear about our current updates and future product plans.

Ric Thompson, Managing Director at Docman opened the conferences with an update on our Docman Forward View, discussing the future direction of the NHS and how Docman can support possible future challenges. A highlight of the conferences was the introduction and exclusive preview of Docman 10; our next generation clinical content management and workflow platform, supporting new models of care, and access anywhere at any time. Customers had the opportunity to trial the software at our dedicated Docman 10 exhibition area.

Stream One covered the Transfer of Care initiative and how Docman Hub can support the NHS towards being paperless by 2020. This followed with an update on how Docman Vault is supporting new models of care by providing access to documents as part of a shared care record. Docman Masterclasses were run by our expert training team on a number of topics including Intellisense, iWorkflow and BackOffice apps.

Our guest speaker Kerry Maddison, Programme Manager at NHS North West Surrey CCG presented at our Birmingham and London conferences on technical integration in Health and Social Care. At our Manchester conference Jonathan Kerry, Assistant Director of Technology and Integration at NHS Wigan Borough CCG presented on tackling the digital roadmap and the journey towards being paperless at the point of care.

Stream Two consisted of a hands-on workshop on solving problems through innovation. The interactive session provided CCG and Secondary Care customers with support for upcoming decisions on their future roadmaps.

Another highlight of our conferences was the return of the Docman Genius Bar where customers were able to ask any questions to our expert Docman Training team and receive live product demonstrations.
