What will you be doing?
You will be part of the team responsible for the implementation and testing of sites as they are transitioned from a Client Server environment into our newly commissioned Cloud based solution. This role will include the supporting of installations, database and data migrations, upgrades and configuration changes. You will learn about software deployment, automation of deployment, Continuous Service Improvement and the control and support of implementations.
Our team use remote technologies and record information within a Service Management Toolset to assist customers (GP Practices and IT Vendors) with queries relating to our bespoke Document Management System. Due to the nature of the role operating within the medical sector, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and ideally have experience of handing sensitive data.
The ability to be flexible with regards to working hours is required as, at times, you may be required to work early or late to minimise the impact of the migration on our customer base.
The successful candidate will build relationships both remotely and with internal stakeholders quickly as well as have the technical expertise to troubleshoot, identify root causes and turn a problem into a solution in adherence with strict KPI’s and Service Level Agreements.
We need you to have…
- Knowledge of databases and IT
- Some knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows servers from an Admin perspective
- The ability to work as part of a delivery team
- Good communication skills
- A real desire to learn and improve you technical skills
It’s nice to…
- Be qualified to degree level with a bias towards a computer science
- Have experience of working in a data center environment
- Have used Windows server configuration tools
