Docman is delighted to report in the past 12 months Docman Hub has transferred 20 million electronic letters from secondary care providers to GP practices.

Over 100 NHS Trusts utilise Docman Hub to transfer clinical correspondence electronically, supporting the drive towards the NHS becoming paper-light. The cost of sending a single letter can be over 50 pence and the staff time associated with this process is time-consuming for both the sender and the recipient.

See how Docman Hub has supported the below organisations:

Mark Walker, Clinical Results Reporting System Manager, University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust said: “UHCW sends patient letters in real time to GP Practices. Our previous process was to send paper letters to our GP colleagues; this was a costly and time consuming method.”

Daniel Alexander, Project Manager at GMCSU: “The project has been a real driver in strengthening the relationship between CCGs and Trusts. It is a huge project that is unique in its kind of having a joined-up approach across many provider organisations. Reaching one million electronic letters is a fantastic milestone for supporting our health economy in being efficient in what it does and removing the unnecessary costs that arise with handling and moving paper around.”
