Docman is undertaking a significant programme of work to move its customer base from on-premise, client server solutions to its cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform.  The Solution Delivery Team is responsible for the delivery, assurance and management of SaaS solutions as they are brought into service and for the technical onboarding of customers onto that service.  The Senior Solution Delivery consultant will play a key role in assuring these solutions and for establishing the onboarding and monitoring processes.  Our solutions are used by our customers in the delivery of patient care, so it is critical that they are reliable and safe to use in such environments.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for the implementation and testing of new customer implementations or existing customer migrations as they are transitioned from a Client Server environment into our newly commissioned Cloud solutions.  You will need to troubleshoot any issues that may arise and act as the ‘go to’ person within the team for any technical escalations encountered.  This role will include installations, upgrades and configuration changes.  You will be working in conjunction with other team members and other teams within Docman Operations using a Continuous Service Improvement approach to ensure efficient, repeatable, resilient and controlled implementations and associated monitoring.

Due to the nature of the role operating within the medical sector, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check and ideally have experience of handing sensitive data.

The ability to be flexible with regards to working hours is required as, at times, you may be required to work early or late to minimise the impact of the migration on our customer base.

The successful candidate will build relationships both remotely and with internal stakeholders quickly as well as have the technical expertise to troubleshoot, identify root causes and turn a problem into a solution in adherence with strict KPI’s and Service Level Agreements.

Due to the nature of our business the successful candidate will be required to undergo a DBS check.

We need you to have…

  • Previously worked in an application implementation, configuration and support role(s)
  • Performed data management, analysis and manipulation
  • The ability to use relational databases (MySQL)
  • Experience of the technical use of Windows server
  • Self-starter with the ability to work alone or as part of a delivery team
  • Problem Management experience
  • Experience of working with strict SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Customer liaison

It’s nice to have…

  • Experience of working in a data centre environment
  • ITIL V3 qualification
  • Configuration Management experience
  • Used Windows server configuration tools
  • Knowledge of Windows scheduler and Task Management
  • Demonstrable skills in troubleshooting and impact analysis
  • SQL knowledge
  • Qualified to degree level in an IT discipline
